How do I update my vanilla server (VA Hosting LLC)

With VA Hosting LLC, it is easy to update your Vanilla server to the latest version.

In this example, we will use the jar type "Default", this will work with Vanilla latest release and snapshot as well, the only changes would be the folder and jar name.

  1. Stop the server
  2. At this point it is a good idea to make a backup of the server
  3. Delete or rename the jar file in the Server_Default folder
  4. Start the server

Multicraft will download the latest version for you.  In most cases the server will run fine after this, however sometimes the world file will not be fully compatible with the new update, this is why we recommend backing up your server first.
